Blacktown: Our Community

Blacktown is a place in the middle of Western Sydney.Blacktown was originally named for an Aboriginal settlement in the area. Today, Blacktown continues to be home to a large Aboriginal population, the largest of any suburb or township in New South Wales.

PCYC

The PCYC is Australia's No. 1 youth organisation which consists of 59 Youth Clubs and around 85 000 members throughout New South Wales.



















What they try to accomplish?
Their goal is to get young people active in living, work with young people to develop their skills, character and leadership. The also try to stop crimes committed by the youth in Blacktown which are by and against them.

What are they doing to help the community?
PCYC helps the youth of Blacktown develop new friendships, build fitness, develop teamwork and express their activity. The young people learn how to be leaders, and the activities such as: sport options, music programs, life-skills, self-development projects, homework clubs, help them become for responsible leaders and feel good about themselves.
